Vmirror™
is a family of high-availability SAN appliances designed specifically
for use with Apple's popular Xserve RAID storage line. Used
with Apple's Xserve, Xserve RAID, and optionally, Xsan software,
Vmirror provides high-availability storage solutions with
continuous data protection. Most important, Vmirror provides
instantaneous failover in the event of a component outage
anywhere on the data path from host system to Xserve RAID.
The result: whether you
are supporting multi-user access to a large database or streaming
high-speed video data data access and streaming continue uninterrupted
while host systems make a seamless, transparent shift between

Applications
Vmirror is used to provide uninterruptible access in post-production
and broadcast as well as collaborative IT applications such as business-critical
file servers, web, and database servers. Vmirror video customers include
broadcast and post-production operations at NFL Films, Korean Broadcasting,
Voice of America, and local television stations such as WCJB-TV. IT
customers are diverse, ranging from large printing, publishing and
media companies to scientific research organizations.
