Starting with storage gateway products for IBM in 1996, Vicom capitalized on its expertise by applying its knowledge on appliance-based SAN services, enabled by a major infusion of venture capital in 2001. This unique technology base now provides the foundation on which Vicom products are now built. Vicom's products and technology have been validated at customer sites worldwide and through OEM partnerships with major storage and system vendors, including IBM Corporation, Sun Microsystems, and Hewlett-Packard.

Vicom's technology and, more important, application knowledge gained through deployment of successful, large-scale SAN solutions has resulted in a growing base of customers and open SAN applications.
